The Thyme For Gardening team provides many services in Regina and the surrounding areas, from designing your entire yard to regular ongoing maintenance work. These services can be broken down into the following categories:

DESIGN

Whether you are looking for design ideas for a single flower bed or for your entire front and/or back yards, you’ve hit the jackpot! Arlene is ready and willing to provide you with ideas, and even a documented plan should you want one, of that hard-to-imagine area of your yard.

LANDSCAPING

Thyme For Gardening is your one-stop shop for addressing all of your small- to medium-scale landscaping needs! Wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, gardening tools, hammers and a few small electric tools in addition to some very hard-working individuals is what you can expect to see as a portion of or your entire front and/or backyard is transformed into a place that you’ll be proud to show off to your friends and family.
Arlene and her crew deal with the finest suppliers of soil, plants, trees, shrubs, flower pots, water features and structures, and landscaping and other building supplies, and we will be pleased to act as the go-between as we address all of your landscaping needs.

PLANTING

It’s not just a matter of digging a hole and throwing a tree, shrub, perennial or annual flowering plant in it! Arlene and her team are excited to be able to share their knowledge about “what will grow best where” in your yard or particular flower bed, and then actually making it happen!

Often times, large-scale landscaping companies are so booked up that they can’t afford to have their employees spending time planting the trees, shrubs, perennials or annuals and laying new sod that would really bring to life the new hardscaping they have provided. The Thyme For Gardening crew would like to be able to augment the services that large-scale landscaping companies provide . . . and make your dreams for a breath-taking front and/or backyard come true!

PRUNING

Whether you have a few flowering bushes or an entire acreage of lilac hedge, the Thyme for Gardening team can assist you with your pruning needs.  We don’t have access to a truck or bucket for those really tall and full trees, but are able and willing to prune most bushes and small or medium-sized trees with precision and ease!  If you’re unsure about whether or not you’re in need of pruning services in your yard, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for a free 15-minute consultation!

MAINTENANCE

A lot of folks love to plant shrubs, perennials and/or annual flowering plants . . . or at least they love to be able to enjoy them! But they don’t necessarily like or have the time to do the upkeep that’s required to have their yard looking great right up until the first sign of frost. On-going activities like watering, fertilizing, deadheading, and weeding are crucial to the beauty of your yard that you and your friends and family can enjoy as well as the health and happiness of the plants themselves! Many perennials and flowering annuals won’t make the effort to rebloom without a bit of deadheading help! The Thyme For Gardening crew will provide these maintenance services as often as you deem necessary for the entire growing season!

CLEAN-UP

The term “clean-up” refers to something that happens after the fact . . . but all gardeners know how important it is to clean up and prepare your yard for the growing season! Many people like to take advantage of the colour and texture that their annual flowering plants and perennials provide right up until they are covered with snow in the late fall . . . I know I do! People just need to be prepared to do the required cleanup prior to planting the following spring!

Picking up the twigs, leaves, pieces of paper and plastic and debris that blows into your yard over the winter is important as is the removing of burlap coats from around your cedars and/or the piles of leaves that protected your perennials from the cold and frost. It’s also important to rake away the excess grass clippings and grass mould (particularly when we’ve had alot of moisture throughout the winter and spring) from your lawn.

I know . . . not very exciting stuff . . . but such an important spring activity! If you have clean-up work to do this year but just don’t have the time for it, don’t hesitate to call on Regina’s Thyme For Gardening team!

We’ll also provide fall clean-up services if that’s what is needed! Pulling out annuals, trimming back the perennials, emptying your pots and washing them out, tilling up the soil in your flower beds, transplanting your geraniums for their winter season indoors, or any other tidying needs you may have, your Thyme For Gardening crew will help address them at an affordable hourly rate.
